Sentient Jet Acquires Atlantic Aviation Flight Services
Corporate jet-card services company Sentient Jet has acquired charter operator Atlantic Aviation Flight Services from Voyager Group, a private-equity firm based in Pittsburgh. To our knowledge, this marks the first acquisition of a charter operator by a fundamentally jet-card company. Atlantic Aviation Flight Services of Teterboro, N.J., has not had any connection with the Atlantic Aviation FBO chain since 2002. All of the aircraft management and flight services that Atlantic currently provides for its clients will continue their normal operations, according to Atlantic Aviation Flight Services president Scott Galdi. Said Sentient Jet: “As part of the acquisition, Galdi and key members of the management team will continue to oversee Atlantic, as well as support the operations of Sentient. Atlantic will continue to operate under its FAR Part 135 compliance certificate.” Will Sentient acquire more charter operators? “The Atlantic acquisition is an important development for Sentient, and it remains open to exploring other options moving forward,” responded a spokesperson.
I have no idea if this is good or bad... just thought I'd pass it along.
