flew into ATL yesterday for the first time in a long time, expecting the SID as published, noticed everybody was getting a heading at the MM, we scrambled to identify it, but we were not able to put into the box or get a DME off the LOC. There has to be a better way then how we ended up doing it, what's the trick? we were told the Cadit 4 off 8R, thanks in advance for the help.

I'f you want to turn AT the MM, turn it on so you can hear it or look at your PFD (yellow MM boxed thingy that flashes)

OR

Do what we ALL do, turn about 400 ft. it'll be pretty darn close.

then they'll give you direct whatever the first fix is....

Don't turn at 400 ft in a 700. You will turn over the parallel runway, they do get excited about that!

701EV

Are you really that lazy that you can't turn at the M&M? You don't even have to do anything! Just wait for it to flash up on the PFD . . . it's the same as waiting for the altimeter to read 1400'.

i turn when the captain asks me "you wanna start the turn?" or something to that effect. every captain i've ever flown with has asked me, and i just say 'alright dude, i'm going ballistic!"

Close enough?
I guess that's why you're at a regional! Way to go sport!
sorry big daddy. I know I should be able to be as precise as you on everything. I suppose you are one of those guys who can fly exactly 153 knots instead of 155 knots huh? You go big daddy! I'm really impressed by your ability.

Small chocolates with a candy-coated shell; melt in your mouth, not in your hands, etc......

I have to give you credit Uncle. You post some funny stuff on here (ie the Mesa App thread). I think I've laughed more at your one liners than anyone else's on here.
