"The process is creating anxiety among some ITS screeners and supervisors who fear they won't be given a fair chance at a better-paying federal job. Most screeners now make $8 per hour, while federal screeners will get about $14 an hour and lower-level supervisors could make up to $50,734 per year.
An anonymous letter on ITS letterhead circulated last week among Hartsfield screeners, threatening a "strike" Monday. The letter called for the NAACP or some other outside group to review the federal job application process, as well as the tests that screeners will be required to pass."
