ATL FAA Medicals

Hi guys and gals,
I need recommendations to an examiner in the Atlanta area that is really good, young enough to last 10 plus yrs. Someone who has alot of clients that are airline pilots and knows the routine of the industry and the importance of a fair medical.....................Thanks..

Dr Stacy Vereen in East Point. He's not young, but he is one of the most respected AME's out there and is even on the FAA board in OKC. If you were to have any problems later on, he'll go out of his way to get you back on track. He also gives medicals to most of the Delta/ASA pilots in Atlanta. Sometimes you may have to book with him a month or so in advance though, he's a busy guy.

AeroMed, Inc. Doc Harper is retired UAL medical director. All he does is FAA physicals...one-stop shopping...been a pilot doc long time...well-known to the FAA. If anyone knows the score, he does. I've been going to him for years...won't go to anyone else. Buford Hwy and I285. 770-457-3532. Leave msg if you have to...he's very good about getting back to you.


Beware the busy doc with a waitingroom full of sick people...he WON'T know the score.

I saw Dr. Dave Williams today. You can't go wrong seeing him.

I also recently went to Dr. Dave Williams. My co-pay was $15 and they faxed my medical to the CP. I would reccomend you make an appointment or plan on spending an hour and a half, to two hours to get a medical. You will get to spend it in a most luxurious waiting room with year old magazines and a portable A/C unit. Also he seemed to be doing lots of medical checks for the immigation department. Most of the other people there spoke ENGLISH as their second language.

Dr Vereen used to have an office in Chamblee as well, a block's walk from a MARTA station. I really liked him.
