Hey ATI guys, looking at airlinepilotcentral it says you guys are hiring, but on the jobs page I see F/O isn't shown anymore. I've been reading as much as I can through the old posts and would like to find out more about the company, and I think hiring status is a good first step! From what I've read, sounds like everyone seems to like it there. ;)

Anyone care to PM me so I know who to bounce questions off of? Thanks.

See the "What's up at Gemini" thread. Application window most likely closed for the better part of the summer.

I have a question for ATI guys. ATI is own by ABX. If ABX will be affected by DHL being gone, wouldn't ATI be affected too? It looks like ATI is hiring right now but what will happen when ABX shareholders will start seeing their shares sinking? What will keep ATI and Capital in business? Or maybe that why the parent company changed name to Air Transport? To give some support to shareholders. Very interesting times ahead for you guys.

ATI and CCI are pretty much the only carriers for BAX in the U.S. The military business is going well too. I don't know how ABX's loss of DHL business will affect us unless BAX decides to use them on some of their runs in North America.

Thanks b707guy. I'll look at it. ;)

I wish you guys well. Keep that BAX happy because it is the only independent freight left without being assimilated by UPS or FDX. For how long nobody knows? Dayton, Fort Wayne, Willmington, all gone. Hope neither FDX or UPS will eye TOL. Good Luck.

Haha, I agree with the last post... but damn if that post from haulingthemail wasn't funny. And just so you don't forget, it's Barack HUSSEIN Obama! Make sure you get the HUSSEIN in there because that's his name, don't let them tell you otherwise.

I don't like Hillary either, but at least she put her damn hand over her hear to make it look the part.

Thank you Captain Moron,

I will remember to add Hussein onto my hanging chad in November.

Your post did nothing more then point out that without you-the lowest common denominator, this forum would all but loose it's entertainment value!

Ciao!

If you guys remember the Clintonian era there was quite a bit of outsourcing by the DoD.

The AMC, currently led by Gen. Lichte, has a budget to which to operate. He cant over run it. Using contractors is the cheapest way to maintain service. Its too expensive to build time on limited airframes in time of a limited budget when you can outsource. When ever the military budget gets whacked you "will see outsourcing". There are other variables concerning wartime funding but thats a whole different beast to discuss.
