I have a feeling that those that are to be called, have been called. Looks like a lot of us missed the boat yet again. It is indeed very sad...:crying:

GO GORDAN!

come out of the closet man, you know you love him.

Keep an eye on your bag tonite! :D

The interviews are 31 Jan and 1 Feb. Not sure of any other dates but if you didn't get a call by last Friday, your not invited to the party. (me included)...Don't give up the ship, its probably the best freight outfit to work for. I'll be updating my resume regularly till they can't stand it no more...

Heard wrong..

Well,
I'm here in Dayton. Have been here since Saturday and the interviews started today through Wednesday. HR sent out 300 apps and received 160 back. 16 were chosen by CK Airmen to interview, 12 and 4 alternates. They already went through some of the alternates due to cancellations. I know they called a few today to fill in 2 slots. I wish te best of luck for all of you here. Keep the faith and don't give up. If age 60 stays close to half our captains will go in the next 3-4 years. That's not counting the heart attacks and dropping dead. (Had a few)

Thanks for the info. I'll keep updating, pay off a few check airman, and hopefully get a call :)

Hi, went to the interview, and was offered DC-8 FO position, ground school starts March 6th. At the end of interview I was told that as of one hour ago ATI was sold with trucking company to Deutche Bahn. Sale to CHI did not occur at same time. ATI is now owned by the same guys running DHL. The CHI sale may happen very soon or not, future of company very uncertain as to who will own it, but deutche post is now at the controls and the DC-8 sure is sexy.

That is a average line holders credit? I know that minimum is 55 hr per bid period. Is it possible to pick up extra flying on days off?

Sorry, bad posting. I didn't intend deutche Post and Deutch Bahn were the same people as DHL. I meant "same guys running DHL" as a more general term to encompass the slow quiet foreign ownership taking over the U.S. cargo industry. Which is not necessarily bad nor good just different. As for the future of ATI it is changeing right now minute by minute to something different.

I also agree one-hundred percent that ATI will be spun-off or bought by someone else possibly CHI, sorry about the confusion and thanks to all who helped provide employment intel about ATI on these forums I think its a great company because of the gret people working there right now regardless of what happens here in the months to come.

so are you taking the job or not?

Who would not take home baseing, a DC-8 F/O position with half a list retireing three years in front of you and a possible merger all at age 27? Yah, I'll be taking the job and we'll let the chips fall where they may.

Rule #1 Gordon is god!

Rule #2 Haulingthemail's flight bag is to be covered by Gordon stickers by all new hires upon completion of IOE

Rule #3 If Haulingthemail gives you any grief about Rule #2, see Rule #1

that is all...

Good for you.Spent 14 months at ATI and sometimes wonder why I ever decided to leave! It was great bunch of people and a real classic airplane that you actually flew instead of managed. Best part? No passengers,Flight Attendants or cranky Ticket Agents to deal with!! Good luck and have fun with it! :)

The sooner you realize Gordon sucks the sooner you and I will get along. Just because we were sim partners and you are bigger than me doesn't mean I have to like you!!!!

No, no, no....the sooner both of you realize that NASCAR sucks, the better off you'll be......If you want to watch real racing, watch F1. At least they realize that a car can turn left AND right, and that cars are supposed to brake, accelerate, upshift and downshift. Driving around an oval is not racing. It's going fast, but it's not racing.
