Can Anyone tell me anything about them (ATI). I have seen the payscale and I know they have DC-8's and I watched one leave Newark about 4:00 this morning. Need info on Hiring, schedule, reputation, training, ect....
I'm going to make the leap to big aircraft and gathering info on different companies. Any other suggestions for large jet cargo operators would be really appreciated. Thanks guys.

yeah the more I look into it, it doesn't look like a long term place to be. I'm looking for some stability. Thanks. Please keep the info coming!

I think your best bet may be work for the goverment. I have not heard of too many furloughs happening from them. Anyone else is a crap shoot at best...............Good Luck

Now that I have the smarta** out of of my system. Long term is tough unless you have a chance at UPS,FedEx, SouthWest etc. And those are not cast in stone security. If looking at the non-scheds and strictly from a may not get furloughed point of view there is only ????????. I am not sure if one exists. World has been a good place for me but we a have a great deal of uncertainty coming with buyout and merger. Maybe Omni or Kallita will be better in the short term but again its a crap shoot...........

I worked for them 10 years ago, they had 30+ DC-8's, now they have less than 20 from what I can gather.

If I'm wrong, I'm sure I will be corrected.

Don't do it unless you want to see what it feels like to be furloughed. That seems to be the history of events over there. When management doens't get want they want, oops we need to furlough. Still no contract.

Go back to the thread called "DC-8's, anyone" with the last post (as of now...) on July 1.

Right now, we have 16 operating aircraft (3 -62 combis, 1 -72 combi, and 7 -71 and 5 -73 freighters), plus one -72 in long term storage, and one more -71 in short term storage until another currently in use times out for heavy check that we don't want to pay for.

Tas-boy above got up on the wrong side of the bed a year or so ago and hasn't gotten any sleep since. Wish I had the lockdown on the future like he does - I'd have one heluva winning lottery record!

For you B707, I didn't get up on the wrong side. I just saw alot of good people get $hit on by current management because of contract issuse. Trying to help others get all the insight before they make a move that could be a short one due to current management mentality. That's all

In a nutshell:
Morale is lower than Janet Renos boobs. Military contract going away on Sept 21st can mean layoff of 7 crews. New airplane (767) to replace the 8 has been delayed over and over again. MIddle of contract negotiations. Mgmnt does not have a clue.
