I was fortunate enough to spend a couple years at Braniff. This certainly brought back some memories and emotions. Good luck to you all.

I loved that place... Gone several years now, but I'll never forget the memories of all that was. ATA was the best job in biz. I will miss you dearly.

The only experience I had was right after 9/11. I was stuck in Hawaii after they open ATC and started flying again. All the planes were packed. I couldn't even buy a ticket for a week. ATA were the only guys that would let me jumpseat to get home. Rode from HNL to LAX in the mighty L-1011.

Good luck guys. My heart goes out to you all and Thank You.

I used to work on the 727's in LCQ. All of the pilots that we used to do test flights with were awesome. They even let me fly the mighty 727 once. I believe one of the Captains names was Jamie, not sure if he stayed to the end. It is a shame, good luck to you all.

All the careers of "the faithful" shot to hell and I'd bet the execs walk with cash and other jobs.

What a shame.

Not to steal any of your thunder, but if your going to make a tribute video, look at this one first.

And for you ATA folks, keep your heads up. 2 years ago, I was in your shoes and it sucked. But things will fall into place.

(...and do you ATA guys know a pilot there that had the nickname of "Boomerang"? ...CS..)

Nice tributes.

Brought back memories of November 1991 when I went through the same thing. Watching the Independance Air video reminded me of all the people I knew at Midway Airlines back then that I haven't seen since they closed the doors. Sad indeed...............

ATA was a great Airline with a long proud tradition! I wish you all the best in your future endeavors.

(...and do you ATA guys know a pilot there that had the nickname of "Boomerang"? ...CS..)

We called him "Rocketman."

Got canned a couple of years ago. What a character.

Lame videos..... sorry.

Good luck to all the ATA folks out there, I loved that airline. I taxied by the parked 757's in PHX the other day..... Sad.
