I just read the posts about ATA closing their doors in March, unfortunately I bought $800.00 of tickets to HNL for the last week in March. Anybody have any suggestions on what I should do? Is there any way to get them to refund the money?

Thanks J.

I find that hard to believe. We were just going to lease an ATA aircraft starting in March. They renigged and we aren't getting the aircraft as ATA says they need it due to the heavy volume of flying.I think it is all BS.

You may want to re-read whatever statement, article, or document that may have given you the idea that ATA is closing it's doors come this March. I think you are mistaken.

The latest news should be something a long the lines of, IND flying will be reduced to just 4 flights a day in April, and Chicago Express will be sold, with service ceasing the beginning of March, the schedule for returning the 757s starting in the middle of the year, has now been moved up and 6 will be returned in the very near future.

Nothing that I have seen, heard, or read about gives any mention that ATA is closing it's doors.

I find your post very hard to believe and I sure hope you are mistaken.

Chicago Express is closing it's doors. What he may have misread is that the local paper said that ATA is pulling out of Midway all together. So maybe someone misread this and though they meant ATA as a whole is ceasing operations.

Sorry, ATA Folks I re-read the post and I was indeed mistaken. In addition to the posts here, last week a buddy of mine who works for Chicago Express said he felt ATA was about to announce a slow shutdown of ops. in MDW, with IND to follow in the coming months, probably just rumor as always.

Also, I just got off the phone with ATA and they were willing to give me a full refund, since I can't leave from FNT anymore, problem solved.

Thanks for correcting me guys. J

Disregard.
