Question for the group. I was considering sending my stuff in to ATA when I found this from their employment web site.

Am I reading this right, you must relocate to the crew base that they assign you?

FIRST OFFICERS (Pilot) (Crew Bases To Be Assigned)

Description
Full-Time: Variable days and hours with 100% travel
Location: Crew Bases (To Be Assigned); RELOCATION IS REQUIRED!

You DO NOT have to relocate. They do suggest that you move to your base during the interview but there is no requirement for you to move. Many of our pilots and FAs commute. We actually have a commuter policy in our contract.

sayagain?

Commuting sucks but it's your choice.

That's good. It's not like they are offering to buy your old house and help you get your new one or providing relocation expenses. Are they going to guarantee your base for the life of your mortgage or rental agreement? Of course not.
