ATA pulling out of Midway

It is being reported like crazy in Chicago. ATA may leave Midway and sell off their 14 gates and some of their planes. This is TERIBBLE NEWS!!

ATA has denied any of this and the City of Chicago says they have not been approached by ATA regarding leaving Midway. We'll just have to wait and see.

Either way it looks like it is going to be very interesting for ATA for a while. I know they were already looking to phase out there Saabs (I'm glad I didn't take that internship this fall). Hopefully they won't go the way of so many others over the last quarter century.

these stupid stories happen when the news media gets "tips" from the mal-educated idiotic portion of the ramp and csa work forces. None of the chicago TV news websites are even running that story.

How can they report a story from the perspective of some clown who probably "skates" at work half the time, and they ran into the fool in the concourse doing nothing, so "hey, lets interview them!"

Flights were still coming in last night through the night and morning, and they are still using all the gates.

Poor Chicago news outlets, now they are back to only reporting about UnTied, AHAHAHA.

I was overnight in Chicago last night and saw it on the news. I went to the hotel and easily found it on the Chicago NBC website, but it did say ATA did not comment.

I've seen that article as well and from what I'm hearing from some friends in Chicago its true. But where would ATA go? Shift everything to IND?
