Over the last couple of months, a lot of folks at ATA have been shown the door. The latest.....

Date: March 13, 2008

The Board of Directors of Global Aero Logistics Inc. today announced the resignation of Subodh Karnik as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, effective later this month.

Subodh joined ATA Airlines as Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer in May, 2005. Soon after, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer and subsequently President and Chief Executive Officer there. He was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Aero Logistics in August, 2007.

John Denison, Chairman of the Global Board of Directors, will assume the Global Chief Executive Officer responsibilities on an interim basis. “We wish Subodh every success in his future endeavors and sincerely appreciate his many contributions to ATA and Global during his time here,” John said. He expects to be in Peachtree City next week to begin the transition.

Remember, Denison used to be CFO at SWA. Something is about to happen.

Maybe they'll hire back all the chicago express guys that lost their jobs 3 years back..... LOL $hit, I almost pooped myself!

Right after they recall the hundreds on furlough from ATA.

Sorry for this random ATA question. I have a friend of mine who recently bought tickets on ATA for a trip to Hawaii during the latter summer. Should he be worried? Should he attempt to get his money back given all of the uncertainty at ATA?

Thoughts?

The answer is: Don't know. If they're not refundable, then it's pointless to try and get his money back.

Stay tuned.
