You are mocking people who very well may lose their jobs and their livelihoods. yeah, within the next year or so, airtran plans to remake ATA into a low-cost contender. you can read stories on the subject at:

serveral stories on there about airtran taking over ATA, and how ATA already sold airtran all of their spaces at midway in chi-town.

This is very sad for the folks at ATA. Having been through a bankruptcy at an airline myself, I know how stressful it can be. Best of luck to everyone at ATA. I am certain you will all come out of this a stronger airline.

Sad news indeed. When I have to fly commercial, ATA has been my airline of choice. They go where I need to go, they do/did it on time, and I avoided the hassles of ORD.

Also, nice folks. Sad to see.

My guess is that he doesn't even work for JB, and is just trying to taint the image over there in a general sense.

Ask him some pointed questions about JB and the A-320.

I think AirTran has bought up a good many of their gates in Chicago and maybe another place.

Okay, here's the real info. Airtran has offered to buy the slots in LGA and DCA, and to sublease all 14 MDW gates. They WILL NOT, at this time, take ANY ATA employees or aircraft. Of course, that is as of today, and subject to change depending upon what some other airline may or may not do.
