I saw an ATA DC-10 at JFK a few days ago - nice paint job. How many DC-10s does ATA currently have and how many are expected going forward? I believe they are ex-NWA birds.

Are the DC-10s going pretty senior? Are furloughees being recalled into the 10s or are 757/737 pilots bidding up to the 10? Are the remaining Tristar pilots transitioning over to the 10 as well?

I believe they're getting 7 DC10's and 2 extra ones for spares....I think the 4 remaining Tristar's start going away next year eventhough some just had D checks

9 were ordered, as part of NWA's restructuring, with a plan to use two as spares.

At least 3 are going to World now. ATA plans to only operate 4. The second came on line last week. Still has the "bowling shoe" paint job. I

I think we're only operating 3 L10's a the moment and the plan, this week, is to operate them until they need heavy checks and then park them.

DC 10 slots are going pretty senior for CA not so senior for FO's. Let of it depends on where you want to commute to. Little if any transition from 10 to 1011 unless it is an upgrade. What is will be seat locked and pay protected so that training cycles are reduced.

Recalls were going to the 75 and 73. Don't know when the next recall will be.

The plan as stated from managment is that ATA will only operate 6 WB's at a time. World was having to give up some of their's and our's went over there to fill in the shortfall. ATA is giving back the 3 737-300's. We have one left. This will result in not much of an overall gain in total fleet numbers.
