Anyone know what could happen with the meeting in southern IN on the 21st? Allegedly 3 airlines have submitted bids for slots etc. I hear us and AirTran are two of them.

Could be. That's about the only thing left of any value. ATA never "owned" much of anything...

It'd be very interesting if SWA won the bid for the slots/ATA. The market isn't much different than the MDW-MSP market -- mostly business travellers -- and has the potential to bring in plenty of higher yield pax. Then again I believe Airtran is currently using/leasing those slots which may prove to be a powerful incentive in the process.

WN's going to buy the slots and give them to our codeshare partners. No way we are smart enought to fly into The Garbage or Reagan.

I heard Southwest didnt even put a bid for the assets. The only report came out as an Aviation company that deals with ground resources and Airtran Airways. What is your source that Southwest is bidding on it as well?
