Astar Hiring stopped?

Anyone know the latest on Astar hiring? Did they fill the need for 727/DC8 FEs that was posted a while bacK?

New hire class for the A300 starts OCT 23rd.

That's correct. There may be some additional hiring after the first of the year. Numbers are not confirmed yet. I wouldn't think it would be a large number. Mostly retirement makeups.

I heard rumors about the DC-8s being parked, is there any truth to that?

ABX Air parked a bunch of their DC-8's in CVG. Astar just aquired another 727.

He's probably referring to the rumor that ABX management is putting out that Astar's A-300 leases are to expire soon and will not be renewed.
