The fact is that both Astar and ABX are too expensive compared to the other ACMI's that are or will be available to provide DHL with lift. The only thing ABX has going for it is they are CAT II/III capable, although with the recent prohibition against hand flown CAT II in the DC-8 and DC-9, the probability of sucessfully executing a CATII approach with the SP-50 autopilot is questionable at best. Astar on the other hand is strictly a CAT I airline and they are no different than the other ACMIs except for one small item, their crew costs are substantially higher!

Face it, DHL will go with whoever is the cheapest, especially since they are losing their a$$ in the US market. Both ABX and Astar are replacable and will be forced to take massive contract concessions to be on par with the other ACMIs or DHL will replace you too!

You are a very bitter little man, aren't you..... Do us all a favor, seek professional help.

But what I say is true. You are just too stupid to figure it out!

You are so right. I wish we all weren't so dumb. Thanks for the insight. DHL will replace us soon with some cheapo outfit. I'm sellin the house and vette.

Didn't you hear, with all their dues paying memebers, the RJDC has converted a 100 CRJ's to cargo. They will now start flying for DHL, and then will sue ABX and Astar cause you guys prevent them from flying "LARGER" jets. :)
