Asian Airlines hiring Questions

(As posted on other boards) Who in Asia hires American pilots? I know they are very slow right now, just looking for information or experiences. If needed, how do you get an International ATP ( I think this it what it called).
Thanks for the posts & info.
Prof.

pro, If you have a type rating on something big and a 1000 hrs in the left seat there are a lot of opportunities there. If you have 500 hrs in the right seat it's somewhat limited, and without it almost impossible right now

hey prof,

in the majors forum search for ICAO atpl....there was a discussion regarding this subject a while back.....from what I recall....an FAA ATP is an ICAO ATP as long as the flight time criteria is met.

good luck

Correct,

Except the flight time that must be met is not the same as the FAA. Only 50% if ANY SIC time counts towards TT. And the PIC requirement must be true PIC. One airplane cannot have two PIC's logging time. (No commercial student time counts, no safety pilot, etc..etc..)

Cheers,
