CRJ CA was awarded to a 3/2002 hire. Now there's some progress!

uh, the most junior CPT is from 06/02, and keep in mind, the first class after 9/11 was 02/02, with 1-2 classes a month for the next 1 1/2 years, so ALOT of guys passed on the upgrade for whatever reason..

Because they don't have either the time, 3000tt, or the ATP written passed.

As a 2000 DFW newhire I upgraded to CRJ captain in 2 1/2 years at ASA so what is your point? I still left and would advise all who can to jam! The fact that there is no industry leading offer on the table to be voted on by now should be proof enough!!
Seriously, no need to strike just get the F out!!

Cheers

With or w/o a contract, upgrade times will have to come down if for no other reason but attrition. with DL CAL SW FDX JB etc all hiring, cpts will be leaving for greener pastures.

Whats a greener pasture?
I'm not sure, but fields with more cow effluvia in them seem to grow greener grass. If you are a yuppie, you can buy your refined cow crap in a bag at home depot and make your own grass greener.

I'm not sure green grass and aviation go together. Most nitrate compounds corrode aluminum.

If you fly for ASA it doesn't matter what color your grass is. You will never see it while flying your February schedule with almost 400 hours time away from base....

I finally gave up the cushy relief lines after 2 years in order to stop paying for the crash pad. I noticed Chuck/Carl are gone. Back to the line?

I think you meant Chuck and Kim are gone...and yes they are back on the line......cost cutting measures by the VP Flt Ops. Too many chief/assistant chief pilots.

Does that mean we get the sleep room back? And what happened to the light switch in the lounge?

SH said the someone was using the room as a crashpad. ASA couldn't have that. So the lights have been hard wired on.

We've had a sleeping room for a long time. Now it seems to be a problem. I guess it would seem like playing favorites if they provided one employee group with a place to sleep (when stranded in ATL) and not the others. Oh wait, they do play favorites. No bonus for employees with a union.
