Some ASA trips may not be safe.

They will have you duty in late and get in very late, then on day three you have to get up at 4:30am for a duty in after 8:30 rest.

This sure is not safe with no consistency. They don't care!!!

Don't like em, don't bid them. Reduced rest overnights are what makes trips commutable on both ends. Can't please everybody 100% of the time.

I have to agree here. I'd rather do these trips and have 4 days off. There was plenty of trips to bid from. Sorry man.

VOTED IN FAVOR!

What else is new?

At least you get most of the first and last day off. It's good for commuters.

Welcome to a standard Pinnacle schedule. Do you think this is only done at ASA??

This was done to reduce the number of naps and reduce the number of total lines. All in the name of displacements. It is best now to show management their intelligence by delaying RR flights so that the First flight in the morning is delayed. After that flight is late, good luck on keeping the schedule the rest of the day.

I went and looked at the 70-seat lines for October, and there are plenty of lines like this, and it should be since half the ATL pilots are now commuters from the SLC base.

Kevin, if you are out there...keep them this way, so people don't have to give up an off day to get to or from work.

Funny - commuting is more important than safety.

Airline pilots are always willing to settle for less than fair.

"It goes on everywhere". This makes me sick.

I agree with what you said- I am a fairly senior capt and have a hell of time finding a sched that works but I also agree with the fact we have little to no consistency in trips such as duty times, one night in mmy the next in yyz in the winter, not good for colds and such. Most planning departments SHOULD be concerned with keeping the pilots healthy which means having some "common sense". But there again we are talking about ASA.

Oh waiter......some cheese please.

Why does everyone pin a problem as being solely an ASA issue. My father flies for a major and they have the same s&*t problems we do. These problems are everywhere- even the coveted Southwest and FedEx have scheduling and reserve issues.

The only difference is that I would actually LIKE to show at for work each day at Fed-Ex, SWA or UPS! (And make a hel% of a lot more money in my career there)

Voted in favor!

Looked at some of the relief lines, some good and a few stupid low QOL days. Par for the course at ASA. Couldn't be a 100% good line. Wouldn't want you to like your job. And yes that is all it is a JOB!

There may have been plenty of trips to bid from, but for OCT there were only about 15 lines that did not have short (< 10 hr) overnights. This is definitely a significant increase, as I usually can fly three day trips with 12-14 hr overnights and not have to even look at anything shorter.
