it was one of the planes that were swapped to comair when asa got the old indy air 200s, and then comair swapped it to skywest for some of their planes

And this is remarkable why? Yes several EV and AS acft have been swapped between the two companies. It looks like you'll see it again when ASA starts getting the 900's.

Don't worry, we'll get them all back once the single carrier petition is filed

1. You don't really understand what a "single carrier petition" does.

2. Do you know how the TSA/G0Jet'$ single carrier petition came out?

3. Do you know how the ALG/PDT FA single carrier petition came out?

Don't believe everything ALPA tells you! Do you realize that the ASA MEC isn't even considering a single list with the SKYW pilots?

Don't worry sweptback, we'll lose it all after ALPA screws this up!

Yep, if we actually won a Single Carrier Petition (very long odds) then they would hold a vote to determine representation. ALPA has lost the last four of those. Then ALPA would have another 2,000 pesky regional pilots wanting fair and equal representation.

Duane would rather have drinks and yuck it up with Continental's scabs. He prefers them to loyal ALPA members who have been ALPA members their entire professional lives. It all depends on what you fly.

Sweptback is right on the logic of the situation. The problem is other forces that make common sense solutions very uncommon.

Once again fins, well said. Logic doesn't work in this environment. While sweptback make sense in theory, in reality it isn't that simple. Even if you do get a single carrier ruleing, that only means that ALPA would represent both the ASA and SKYW pilots. Long shot on that ruling, and long shot on that making any difference. My guess is SKYW management would use ALPA's own words against us. ALPA made many arguements against separate subsidiaries being one group during the PID fiasco.... words that could come back to haunt them.....

What is PID?

It is the "Policy Initiation Date" of the ALPA Merger and Fragmentation Policy. The ASA and CMR MEC's requested ALPA National to implement this policy when Delta purchased ASA and CMR. It was denied.

Thanks. I knew when the ASA and Comair purchases happened there was alot of talk of both companies being merged and just being "Delta Connection"
