Yeah, it's there. Nice that the guys who just went through an ATR training cycle can now move back to the RJ. Ahh... the good ol' Flight Safety shuffle.

I think the guys that were displaced off the RJ have first right of refusal on the vacancies, do they not?

Yup sure do and all but two of them (top two) on the 50 are just that. There are still more that aren't on there. They must not have current medicals or something but they can but those two senior guys off.

The most junior award for CA is 6/29/01 on the 200 and 8/31/2000 on the CR7.

It would be horrible to be "tail end charlie" on the CR7, so where this goes on the final will get interesting.

They would only have first right if they were displaced to a first officer position on the same aircraft. I hope these guys can get back to the position that they really want.

Here is the bit from the contract.

b. Bypass a pilot for a captain position and award it in seniority order to a first officer who was previously initially qualified in such captain position but was displaced from it within the immediately preceding six (6) months, provided that the pilot has bid for such position.

Where on ourasa?
cannot find it

You go to our asa and click documents. It opens a new window and you click
crew resources, crew members, awards, rosters, prelim awards.

Im an ATR CA supposed to go to ATR fo on jan 1. wonder what this means for me. Any guesses?

Hope that helps.

You have to wonder WHO the hell is running the company! Due they have a clue!

Talk about a waste of training cost and spending money needleesly.

The pilots can't have a raise!

Our instructors cost to much!

I would like to know how much this is going to cost to retrain everybody.

Things that make you go HMMMM!

701EV
100%RETRO

You found something on ourasa ??? That just will not do. Expect a major rewrite of the sight ASAp.

Where's ASARJMan to tell you how bad this is?

I'm right here. Why would I think that? After all, my team won the election, slamming the "coalition" pretty badly I might add. I'm all for growth and upgrades. Don't know where you're coming from.

But I did Vote To Strike ASA!

Interesting.. The prelims that came out a week ago, say the opposite. Just goes to show you how major things can swing 180 degrees in less than a week!

I certainly hope that a contract containing both compensation AND growth is the priority for our MEC. I have a deep fear that compensation is our ruling issue.

I agree with Fins on his view completely- the prosperity and growth of ASA is directly contected to the degree of our contract. As much as I hate to admit it- I feel we're limited (in this contract) by the actions of SkyWest and their unionizing effort (or lack of).

When I click documents, it just expands it below. I don't see Crew Resources anywhere..

Displaced from CA on CR2 to CA on ATR in November. Just did ATR CPT1 today and looks like I'm going back to the jet effective 3/2/07. Talk about a waste of time, money and my brain cells. But then again, I expect nothing less from good ole ASA mismanagement.

I'm not sure that is true. It appears the company worded all those sections to give them discretion....not give the pilot discretion.

Upgrades dont mean growth. We will be smaller when the Jan seniority list comes out then we where in July. More pilots are leaving than planes - thus upgrades. Hope the reversal stops but dont know how this can be taken as a reversal?

One more time - Upgrade does not mean growth.

It does if you are the guy upgrading...growth in your pocket:)

Yes and no. We have not lost that many off the CR7 yet. Most of the folks leaving have been more junior guys from the right and left seat of the CR2.

Ten is exactly the number of pilots needed to staff one additional CR7 and the prelim lists the date coincident with the shuffling of Comair's first airplane.

Talk about a head game. Management has new CR7 & 9 flying coming from SLC to fly through ATL with a SkyWest sticker on the nose, and it looks like ASA will be flying CR7's through Cincy just to screw with the Comair pilots. The only justification for these moves is labor bashing.

Why Delta management sees a constant advantage in beating the productive employees down and destroying their hopes for a productive, stable, career is beyond me. In any Widget factory only the dumbest of managers purposely sets out of destroy the morale of the Widget makers.

There is absolutely no other business where managers could get away with this garbage. For some reason airline employees will put up with it and scurry like mice for any scraps left after senior managers get rich off of bonus and stock deals by moving assets around.... nothing produced, just deals on top of deals that decrease the equity of the company.

Oh so true!!!

good post fins. delta management is stuffed with young guns not long out of college who are now directors and higher - since most of the older staff bailed before bankruptcy.

those guys are not pilot friendly and hate making less than many pilots do - and view the regionals as nothing more than cheap vending.

they are getting what they pay for - the connectors service in general is horrid - not just asa.

it's a big shell game but these guys dont care - they will profit big time when delta gets out of bankruptcy.

a part of me wants to se usair but them out - a lot of those guys will feel the same pinch as we do when they are suddenly just as 'expendable' as we are.

either way - at least a dozen or so 700 pilots have left in the last 3 months and delta is about to start hiring in a month or two - going there would be an enourmous gamble with the potential of the buyout - but a lot of the junior 700 ca's are on the fence post.

CT said in rgt this week that only four of the 12-13 700's are going to skwy now and that 8-12 of the cmr 700's are going to asa. Take it for what its worth.

If you want to see the notice go to OurAsa and follow these steps:

Documents - Forms - Crew Resources - Crew Members - Awards - Rosters - Preliminary Award - Its the last preliminary award at the bottom

Yea, that new ourasa system is user friendly!!!! What a joke that is! Who designed that, a kindergarden class?!?!?!? Only have to click 7 links to access the info you want. And good luck finding what you want. There are so many choices in each link it is rediculous. Why didnt they just do it like myasa??? Oh well......I digress.

That was my hope for our our friends over at the GO when SkyWest bought us.

Still waiting, not holding my breath though.
