With all this Copyrighted bad news and admissions that management's offer is below SkyWest current book - what is the goal? Is SkyWest trying to drive pilots away from this airline? How many do they want to get rid of? We can't train replacements, we don't have the sim resources to train many new hires any more, besides no one is interested in this place (reference aforementioned constant stream of bad news.)

It amazes me that management holds out NO carrots. NO growth, NO pay in line with inflation, NO respect for your time while deadheading (my least favorite part of the job to begin with) and NO improvement in QOL.

It is basic human behavior and management doesn't get it. If there is opportunity, pilots have proven they are willing to invest in the future. But if threatened, it is natural to organize and resist.

All management achieves by their approach is to encourage those of us who feel like we are trying to catch the last helicopter out of Saigon to get the heck out of here, while encouraging those who want to fight, to fight until the last man is standing.

If wanted to sell my car, would I tell the buyer to buy this car before it falls apart, or gets stripped by my mechanics? No, I would talk about how great it is. ASA Management has this backwards - which surprises me because there are some intelligent folks participating in this.

Fins, one thing that should not surprise you at all is how dumb management thinks the pilot group is. They have proved it over and over, in so many ways, that the only conclusion that one can come to is they truely think we are all idiots. You would think that after the last 4 years they would have changed that opinion, but old habits die hard i guess.

One thing that I learned in my management days (before changing careers) is that treating employees well is something that is in your makeup. It can't be taught, it can't be learned. If you have it, you just do. And out management "team" certainly doen't have it.

It's like Curly from the Three Stooges trying to perform a Jedi mind trick.
