I posted this on the bottom of another thread, but I would like to clairify something for you.

As a P2P volunteer and supporter of our negotiations, I have heard many pilots state:

"I pay dues therefore we should have a contract already"

Your Union is not a service you pay for. Your union only exist when you participate and volunteer for it. If you pay dues, but do not participate, the union does not exist.

So please stop asking why nothing is getting done even though you are paying dues. Either particpate and make the Union work as it was designed to, or stop complaning that your dues are not working, the rest of us will try to carry you on our backs!

A large problem with your assertion is that many people don't agree with the tactics. I think information picketing is ridiculous, you wouldn't have caught me dead out there and apparently 90% of our group agrees. The only reason a company cares about what a group does is if it hits their bottom line. It's been 2+ years? Let's initiate quiet motivation for the company in the one form that they understand. Increased cost, decreased performance.

Fish and Fly, The MEC can not support a slowdown or sick out!

I agree with you that we can do things as individuals. If just 20% of our pilot group followed the SP's and Contract to the letter, what you suggest woud take place.

The MEC and the Union can not support a job action. If they do our negotiations will be thrown out the window! and people would go to jail!

John RICE the CNC Chairman specifically said to the membership that Informational picketting is having positive results at the table.. How can this be ridiculous.

If we are having positive results with INFO PICKETTING with poor support from the membership, Imagine what would happen if just 10 percent of our group showed up! WHat if we had 50 Percent (that is 850 FREAKING PILOTS)

I am not an Idiot, an not on "daddys computer", I am a frustrated low paid FLYING MONKEY (or at least paid like it).. SO i figure that if I cant have any money for what I do, I want the big E 170.. I want a jet way and am willing to picket the picketers for it!
