I think we should have tried to spread the picketing out a bit. Way to large of a percentage of our pilot group is working both days.
Newjetjockey said:You should try picketing at the airport instead of the Holiday Inn....Unless its the patrons at the Taco Bell whose attention you're trying to get. Then yes, definitely the Holiday Inn.
ohplease! said:The next time you same 10 or 20 show up, tell whoever has something to do with negotiations to work out a contract that is in line with everyone else in our industry, at our same level (regionals), and the rest of us might show some support!
As long as you keep asking for all this outrageous S**t, you won't see me anywhere near you guys!
commute and want some clause? too bad. move here!!!!
want to make $200/hr to fly an RJ? too bad. won't work!
want everyone to have 20 days off/month? tuff titty.
want the co. to fund your retirement? not going to happen (at any co. anymore). you must step up to that plate and swing the bat yourself...
Do something REALISTIC about scheduling, bring me in line with my peers in pay, come up with some ways to help ensure our co.'s survival and growth and make that DAM*ED computer to stop calling my house....You'll have my FULL support! Including walking in circles holding a sign.
For those of you who'll automatically dismiss me as mgmt. or flame....I'm an RJ capt. flying the line, been here 6 years, plan to not leave ASA (I'm not even 40 yet), am pretty happy with my job over all, haven't had koolaide in years (co. or otherwise).
If you still think I'm an idiot...look at how many of you nerds showed up to picket. I assure you I'M NOT THE ONE STANDING BY MYSELF AND 10 "FRIENDS".

Why do you keep trying to justify or mitigate your blink?Wacopilot said:ASA.
Looks like our(cmr) little pay freeze is the least of your worries. It doesn't matter if we made 25% more than you, if 2% is all the support you can get from the group your negotiating muscle is extinct. Good luck.

If you're really who you say you are, Get a life. You should know that we are not asking for $200 an hour or a pension. Quit believing everything management tells you. Get involved and find out for yourself.

Now we are going to have to come up with a different strategy to get our own guys out in the cold to walk in circles for hours.
So in a nut shell, SHUT UP and and mind your own concessionary business..

Some of us who have been involved for longer than you, disagree with our current MEC and their approach. We need to either accept the fact that we are simply a lose association of independent contractors rather than a union, or we need to change the way the union does business. Status quo is a waste of time grasshopper.
ifly4food said:Butt out of our conversation. Whores like you know nothing about trade unionism, you only know how to take care of yourselves.
