no charges as of yet.....it looks like we may just pay a larger annual fee and they will drop the leg charge.
.....I think the message was received.......loud and clear....
I have not travelled since the changes were effective. So are we still getting S2's or not. Travelnet shows me with a full allotment and S3 on DAL for me on the family...wassup..
Exactly. Too many Almighty Double Breasted Delta Pilots don't make it to work, and changes happen!!!
Lets act like professionals. Lets try to get our pass privileges back, but lets not start a jumpseat war with Delta. It's going to end up hurting us more than it hurts them.
It's funny you bring this up.
While I hate the "new" pay per segment policy at Delta, and agree about the Almighty Double Breasted Delta D!cks, I have to say that is the dumbest statement I have ever heard. The jumpseat is not a weapon, it is not a negotiating tool, it is an extra seat to facilitate pilots' ability to live where they want.
I am a commuter and I have now started to see a backlash from Delta pilots who are getting screwed or given a hard time about our new pass benefits. So basically all you are doing is screwing your fellow ASA pilots who are trying to make this thing work. Luckily the Delta guy I dealt with was pretty reasonable and agreed with me that we shouldn't get into a jumpseat war over this. They have nothing to do with our pass privileges. They do not negotiate for them and shouldn't have to.
He asked me to have a word with our pilots about this and I said I would with anyone I talk to. Lets act like professionals. Lets try to get our pass privileges back, but lets not start a jumpseat war with Delta. It's going to end up hurting us more than it hurts them.
Speaking from the point of view of the bastard stepchildren of the jumpseat...I can't say enough of about the crews at mainline Delta being so welcoming on my back and forth runs to/from DFW.I use Delta and SkyWest and couldn't say enough good things about both sets of Airmen.
"segment and mileage fees will not be applied for Delta Air Lines domestic travel. A new fee, likely an increase to your PPR Activation Fee, will be agreed upon sometime in February."
It's funny you bring this up.

It may not matter much to y'all...but a jumpseat war not only hurts your fellow pilots, but hits some of us dispatchers pretty hard, as well.
As far as the segment fees are concerned, I recently read the following:
While I think Pennekamp is a pompous ass, and as loath as I am to come to his defense, I really don't think he was refering to the jumpseat in this case. Delta travel S3C on ASA, and considering how much domestic flying we do for them, many of their commuters are now struggling to get to and from work as non-rev's.
It's funny you bring this up.

We know all about your "professionalism" after your infamous "if you're my f/o you'll do as I say" quote.I hope you feel better now that you got that off your chest. And spare me the lecture on "professionalism" I distinctly recall saving your bacon after a very unprofessional act you committed a couple of years ago.
Good for you!Now with that said, I was referring to the Delta pilots not getting on our constantly weight limited flights as S3C non-revs. I have never denied a jumpseat to anybody.
I don't understand why you regional pricks have such a hard time with this. Delta employees go first on Delta airplanes, and ASA employees go first on ASA airplanes.Regarding them having "nothing to do with our pass privileges", back long before you came to ASA, the Delta MEC filed a grievance when we were given DOH S3 priority on Delta after they bought us. The Delta pilots didn't think we should be given anything over them on "their" airplanes. They lost the grievance, but have been fighting our pass benefits ever since. It appears they finally won.

Even someone as simple minded as you should understand that!

Oh, so I get it, you write things just to flame people??Surely, you don't really believe I tell my FOs that. Please tell us you're not that stupid so as to take comments meant to flame people on Flightinfo seriously.
As for us regional pricks, we have no love for Almighty Double Breasted Delta Pilots, so maybe you and your squadron buddies better rent a car next time your S3C priority isn't getting you to work on an ASA airplane. Or you can petition to get everybody back to S3. Get it now?
Oh, so I get it, you write things just to flame people??
So you're a "flamer?"
Guess what sparky. Based on your airlines stellar performance, riding a bicycle will get anyone to their destination faster. Oh and lets not forget to book another airplane cause your POS airplane can't carry any bags! Got it now??
No wonder pricks like you can't get hired anywhere!

*yawn* Another asinine post from the biggest duche at Delta. How predictable.
<Yawn>
A predictable response from the same asa loser stuck, and pissed at the rest of the world for his miserable piss poor airline career!
Now get to the back of the line peniskramp!

Hey, y'all just read his posts and ask yourself who is the one angry at the world. This guy is practically foaming at the mouth while I lean back, casually sip my coffee, and relentlessly make fun of him for constantly providing us with more material, and more reasons to make fun of Delta pilots.
Yes, keep it up 737 Pylt, the patron saint of jerk Almighty Double Breasted Delta Pilots everywhere!

And in all fairness to lav cleaners, they're all very nice too. This guys not only smells like crap, he acts like it too.In all fairness to other Delta pilots, most I've met have been really good guys. 737 Pylt/General Lee must have somehow slipped between the cracks.

I just can't imagine how this youngster has time during class to use the computer!
Now snap to it sonny, its almost time for dismissal!

Speaking from personal experience all the DL pilots I have delt with have been very nice, giving up the flightdeck js to ride the FA jump. And just today one of our own ASA cpts denied me another ASA cpt the js for 70# and left with 4 empty seats. got a trip failure. thanks again cpt of the 910am flight tys-atl on 2-22-08
