3 new dates late next month. The new meeting place has a nice golf course, pool, bar and a Ruths Chris steakhouse across the parking lot.Anyone hearing anything? Post something, I mean, it's been days since anything was posted about ASA. C'mon, you can do it!
Yea, its utterly rediculous that the meetings were 20 days ago, and nobody has decided anything. I completely blame the mediator and the NMB for allowing these negotiations to drag out, and the slow pace.
I talked with a union negotiator yesterday and he seems to think that the NMB is awaiting DAL's exit from bankruptcy before they say anything.
we are not going to be released....period. We'll either close the gap during the next round and finish this thing OR we'll continue to be delayed until Delta and Skywest transfer enough planes and routes to Skywest to make the ultimate demise of ASA a NON-event. Its up to our CNC/MEC to decide whether or not we're going to have jobs at ASA in the future. There's a lot of factors playing against us. Obviously DAL's bankruptcy is one, and the other is the summer travel season. I don't think we'll be released as long as either of those conditions still apply.
Have you all noticed how many CRJ900's are around. Look next time you are on the ramp, you will see at least 2. I have noticed up to 5.
Well as of today Bryan LaBrecque told us there are only 7 things left to finish up mostly pay stuff. Our Alpa guy told us 3 weeks and Brian didn't give us a timeline! surprise.....lol

It is up to us as a pilot group to decide what happens. The CNC has been doing exactly what the polls have indicated that we as a pilot group want, so if you are wanting to bend over and take it up the mud hole, then you are in a minority...according to the Wilson polls. If the polls indicate a shift in our demands, then the CNC will surely represent those shifts.

Transfer airplanes to who? Another airline without enough pilots to fly their current schedules? All regionals, including SKYW are short flight crews. The increasing demand for pilots is going to be the driving force behind improvements, not only at ASA, but industry wide. JA is a business man and knows that you can pull it over labor, but not economics. To keep current and prospective employees from taking other offers, you have to sweeten the pot. In the end capitalism will do more for us than ALPA.
