I haven't had too much time to dive into them, but from what I've seen the Feb. lines absolutely suck. Between the multitude of day lines back to back with multi-day trips, the 30+ hour overnights in prime locations, completely random pairing construction (whatever happened to doing the same trip all month?), inefficient trips, and complete lack of days off, I think I'm going to puke.

Sorry, just had to vent. Guess I'm lacking the vision.

Goes along with ASA's corporate moto and "road map": We're not happy until your not happy!!!

Somebody please fire Willey!! I'd be willing to let ASA pay him to stay away from our crews!

Hello, Jerry....you're letting him piss off the good guy's!! :(

:rolleyes:D..angelhoe, go back to sleep! Quit playing on the company computer and get out there and fuel that C172!
JackAss!

:rolleyes:OhPlease...There are no more Good Guys! They have successfully pissed off every pilot at this company beyond repair! All I can say is that this new raise better be GOOD or this place is going to go down in a Ball of FIRE!!:angryfire

Jason Weiss (AWAC) is your crew planner also?

I guess 30-plus hour layovers in all the "hot spots" is what we get for complaining about all the dead-heading.

Just speaking on the CR2 lines, as compared to Dec and Jan, have shown improvement. The number of straight 3 on 4 off have increased, the block hours per line have increased and the number of lines that have weekends off have increased. As for the 30 hour L/Os in out the way places, that is due to the new Delta plan of "why fly when the people don't want to". It sucks for those stuck there but makes sense.

This is for the CR2 lines only, I have not seen nor care to see the CR7 or ATR lines. If they are still bad, hopefully they will improve as more CR7s come online.

ATLCRJ: You must be very senior. All the CR2 Captains went down quite a few numbers for bidding.

As you know, Skywest took our new CR7 deliveries for the first quater of this year and is running their Flight Attendants through differences training to operate the ASA airplanes due to the configuration changes. As a result, ASA has CNX new hire training and sent the IP's back to the line on a temporary basis. The IP's are bidding 50 seat flying, because the schedules are better and they still get their IP pay based on 70 seat rates.

By reducing the number of lines while a bunch of IP's are coming across the fence the QOL for the mid to lower seniority Captains went in the toilet this month. Also the line construction itself has a lot to be desired.

I beg to differ. I am one of the good guy's and I know many, many others (but thats a different discussion all together) and we are not pissed off.

However, The lines on the CR2 do seem to be much less desireable for Feb. than Jan. to me personally. I am almost at the same number to bid as last month. So the IPs didn't affect me. While the deadheading appears to have drastically reduced, the extremely long layovers have drastically increased. I also noticed that the lines were not made available to any of us until exactly 7 pm. Never seen that before. I think its just another example of Willey taking a shot at the crews. This stuff DIDN'T happen whem Mike was in charge.

My personal belief is this is a glaring example of inept meets hate flight crew. aka Willey.

Pimp Suit Willy Strikes Again. ASA is trying to turn this place into Pinnacle or Mesa. Well, they can try, but I'll be damned if I won't shut it down first. Peace out- to all the pimp daddies and hoochie mamas in the G. O.

So why, until Dec and Jan, were there over 200 3 on 4 off lines, when now there are less than 100? That may be improvement over the last 2 months, but compared to 3 or 4 months ago it still sucks.

Keep our current contract & fire Willey!! I'd vote YES on THAT proposal!!!!

I agree. If Skywest was smart, they could do a few small things to defuse the situation. Improve the schedules and most of us would be very happy right now. The usual suspects will still b!tch and moan, but they won't be happy under any circumstances.

Chief pilot forum Tue. 31 @1030 with the scheduling guy. Q&A. Someone go and hold this guys feet to the fire. Here's your opportunity to discuss those 3 & 4 hour sits we all love so much...I'd love to but, I'll be playing BlackJack and Craps.

Lines like these are created either intentionally or as the result of incompetence. Either way it is simply unacceptable!!!

Charlie Tutt and Scott Hall should have their computers memory maxed out by e-mail complaints from the pilot group. Send them a few examples of these lines and ask them if they would want to fly that schedule.

It is not scheduling who creates these terrible lines. It is crew planning.

Thank you. Scheduling is not really at fault, it is ASA policy and scheduling gets to do management's dirty work. Now if they would only address me properly while on the phone...

I know that. I just don't see anyone from crew planning on the podium. They'll get the message to crew planing. You don't think Willey is ever going to come over to the line do ya'?

;)No Way, he might get strung up and quartered! I think that some of the crew planners should have to come on the trips with us to Feel just how great they are! A few of those and there just might be some improvment, then again...who knows!

Hopefully I am not flying, I would love to go and ask the questions and keep his feet to the fire!
