There is an LEC meeting on monday starting at 9am
Even if you cant stay for the whole meeting, you should make a showing at some point during the day if you are off! The meeting will be at the Rennesance (sp?) Hotel
WE NEED YOU
ASADriver said:Well av8tor, how many showed up for the ALPA kool-aid fest? Did you have a good turnout? What did you learn?
Just like that huge turn out at the airport during picketing!! Where would we have a meeting at the airport. The company doesn't allow ALPA events on company property.WWEfan said:Just curious.....Is it possible to hold LEC/MEC meetings at the airport so those on their 3 hour productivity breaks can attend?

GO AROUND said:I heard from an ALPA rep that about 50 or so showed. Said that was a record for a LEC meeting. Didn't get a chance to ask how it went...
InclusiveScope said:Total of 41 people. 11 of those were MEC/LEC people. 30 members other than LEC/MEC people were there.
MetroSheriff said:How could there be 11 MEC people there? There are not 11 People on the MEC.

I was there I learned many things, and It went very well. I got a kick out of inclusive scope trying to convince the entire room that we should lay down at the feet of mangment because the managers are lining thier pockets with our hard earned money, and the "industry" is not doing good right now! Pretty funny SCOPE..
InclusiveScope said:I didn't say that there were 11 MEC "members" at the meeting. I said 11 MEC/LEC "people". Here is the breakdown for you. 3 MEC officers, 3 LEC officers, 4 committee chairmen, and 1 NC member. 11 total. Actually there were a couple other committee members. Less than 30 members who didn't hold positions within the union. Is that better?
JetPilot_Mike said:Just a guess, but you missed the part where it says 11 MEC/LEC members. Do you know the difference? Probably the MEC officers, LEC officers, and some committee people.

If we were to do as you say and settle the contract for less than what we think we deserve. What is to stop management from degrading our contract once we go into bankruptcy?
My point exactly....If we are going to have whatever we agree to screwed with why not start as high as possible before they start slashing. Kind of like negotiating, you start high and meet in the middle.japhy said:It won't matter if we have a new contract (better or worse than our current one) or not if DAL goes into BK. We will have to take concesions or the BK court will force them on us when management asks for them. Just look at what happen to the wholly owns of USAir (allegheny, piedmont and PSA).

While you may feel justified with the issues at ASA, you need to find a better (read: CALMER) way to express and work through those issues.HowlinMadMurdoc said:Dude,
I certainly hope you have Loss of License insurance because, with your anger issues, you're on the way to losing your medical because of stroke or heart attack.
