Well, we all know that 'Bama will soon erupt with a string of 3 straight national championships. Bringing the total to an even FIFTEEN.

I guess all the other schools could choose to play this year, tho. It will give us all something to watch while waiting for the 'Bama game to come on.

Pretty much the fact that USC cheats and pays athletes and the fact they've only won one BCS since it's inception. USC is a piss poor academic school and the only reason they have a good athletic team is because they pay everyone to compete.

They do have an excellent music school...but the common misconception is that they are ONLY a music school. They are an excellent school overall with one of the best Radio, Television, Film programs in the country...thus how I wound up there. I was an RTVF guy before getting into aviation.

Somewhat related...I'm not sure why, but I know quite a few former radio guys that wound up being dispatchers, including myself. At one time there was 3 or 4 in our office alone. I still do voiceover work on the side.

With all the complaining about the TA I heard from FAs in the lounge I thought there was no chance it would be voted in. Guess they were the minority.

That doesn't even make sense. What Union, IBT, AFA, ALPA, TWU, etc would move to ratify a TA with a net loss in pay (other than a concessionary)? I say it's not true. I don't doubt there may have been an increase in dues, but there's no way it could have been more than the raise.

Perhaps the net raise is less than hoped for b/c of the dues offset?

I grew up in Texas, and was very close to going to UNT to become a high school band director. It's a great school, I reallly liked it there when I visited.

The payraise was not all that great. However they now have duty rigs, the ability to drop trips, holiday pay, better reserve system, etc. Plus since Eva left they have offered time off without pay, part time has opened back up and any line holder could drop trips between the 23rd and the end of the month.

Hmmm all those difficult courses War Eagle players take....but listen, it's the same at all the schools in the SEC. Not a bit of difference. It's all about FB, and I don't have a problem with that myself. In fact they ought to pay the players from all that cash the schools make off their athletic abilities. My opinion.

I don't know how it affects different people with different seniority, but my friend said the raise was so small that it was a net paycut after the dues increase. QOL improvements don't look too shabby, however.
