The SkyWest buy of ExpressJet comes with a 10 year CPA. I am sure that if CAL/ALPA wants the RJ, management will make them pay off SkyWest to cancel the contract wether it is contract concessions or pay. That is a lot of money that CAL/UAL/ALPA would have to fork straight over to SkyWest.
If the pilot of UAL/CAL really want to fly these aircraft, they will be in a race with the sale of ExpressJet to get the "NO OUTSOURCING" clause in their contract. Or, be stuck with outsourcing for at least 10 years.
