Proof that, with the exception of UPS, PAFCA is a much better dispatch union than TWU could ever be.

Ain't is shame unions are even needed.. tired old mindset by the industry which forces these conditions to remain..

Sounds like you guys are on parity now with SKW.. and they have no union.. well an in house association.. but one just does not sem to hear any rumblings out of SGU...

Good for you guys and PAFCA..

Actually, we exceed their hourly rate....In fact, you won't be able to find a regional with a current contract that exceeds or improves upon our pay schedule....Plus our work rules & scope are via a contract....Management does not have the option to amend it at their whim...As non-union companies inevitably have their rules changed to accommodate the management theory of the day and with no notice and no say...It has also been proven time and time again that unions raise wages at unionized companies....and raise wages at non-union companies as well...After all, senior management all work under contract....We should as well

Thats awesome.. First time for ASA to lead the pack... and you make a good point considering the track record.. Plus it makes your departments budget predictable for management.. good for both..

Don't you want to wait until TWU 550 has a signed contract to make that judgment?! :)

PAFCA is a great group of people though. Worked with them all at my old gig (ASA).

Cksport....LOL, actually no!!!

Because until it is actually signed, a contract is theory, not fact. Sooooo, until another group has a signed contract to the contrary, Atlantic Southeast dispatchers have the regional contract with industry leading pay.

And I hope you ultimately get a contract with pay that greatly exceeds ours. That makes the industry better....and raises the bar on pay and benefits. Pattern bargaining is the name of the game. When we go back to the negotiating table in 4 years, it will be just that more doable to have an even better contract than today.

202,

Could you provide us with the new ASA payscale?

No worries. TWU550 is SWA and regardless of what we end up with, ASA can still have the leading regional contract. :)
