I am truly at a loss of words. If this didn't affect my life as much I would really find this funny.

So yes, the same people that make you sit around the airport calling back every hour after your trip cancels or build three day trips with only deadhead flying will now visit and select crew hotels.

But hey, SH cares about us and would never put us in a hotel that he would not stay at. I feel better already.

The Crew Scheduling supervisors will be taking over the function of hotel visits for the company. Once they have visited hotels LJK has been able to secure bids from these five people will participate in part of the hotel selection process. We will not put you any place that one of us would not stay at.

Scott has totally lost it. It has come to a new LOW!

Since the Doubletree in OMA asked "all airlines to leave due to renovations", where does SWA stay now?

Our hotel list is still showing the Doubletree, but I haven't stayed there in a long time, so the list may be out of date (but it usually isn't)

Alternates for OMA are a Hilton, Embassy Suites and Mariott.

In JAN the Mariott downtown isn't bad, that's what we use.

Good luck with the latest round of abuse, I don't miss ASA schedulers even a little.

Jackoffs!

What a bunch of morons! These people make me ill. What will they think of next to totally screw us? Maybe they will make us carry some tents and go camping to stay within the "cost box."

Interesting how SH and S-it Head have the same initials. I really think I might need to kick that guy in the nuts next recurrent!
-Damn!

doesn't the hotel committee have a lot to do with where you stay?

Being as understaffed as we are...don't you think the schedulers have better things to do with their time....like...say...maybe trying to figure out how to cover all of the trips with a short staffed pilot group?

A little off topic, but who is volunteering for the DCI after dark? Sign me up!!! WhoTF signs up for that? It was in BL's letter today if you don't know what I refer to.

If one pilot shows up to clean an airplane he is a GUTLESS POS!

Maybe if Lapuke would have signed a contract two years ago I might have gone out and cleaned an airplane.

Now back to b!tching about our new hotel selection process.

What power do you think they have? There is nothing in our current contract that dictates what type of hotels we stay in, and the ALPA guys didn't think that there needed to be anything in our "new" contract about it because of our "good working relationship with management in the past" with hotels. Anyone ever look at Netjet's contract and what their hotels have to be?

I cant find the TA'd language of the new deal but I do remember it having better language that allows the union to have a say in which hotels are picked.

I do think it falls short on any ability to hold them to anything of real substance.

But on a brighter note, if we ever get a TA to vote on, the more the company does to expose problems like this, we can have one more item to say no to in the vote, and send them back to the table.

Unfortunatly, I dont see us using capital to get better hotel language when we cant get hard core scope with SKW inc.

I think we all need to spread the word to all crew members to use the ALPA website OurASA.NET to complain about legit items on hotels and also CALL SH on his CELL PHONE anytime you have a problem.
You can also begin the process by responding to his lame email he just sent us.

My only request is you do it in a professional tone, so as not to make yourself and the rest of the pilot group look like a bunch of crying kids. I know thats asking a lot.

Scheduling making decisions on what hotel we stay at! YGTBSM! Scheduling can't even do their own job. But hey, now they can get back at those crews by oputting us up in shi@#y hotels. SH is out to lunch big time. Let him have it in recurrent.

A rough night at the hotel causes fatigue...

If you want to change things...you have to speak their language. $$$.
