Are they sure that was birds? Looking at the damage to the nose it looks like they hit a cow or something. Good job.
 
According to the CNN news anchor, I'd like to congratulate the Atlantic "Southwest" crew for a job well dovne. Close enough I suppose.

How the F would they hit a cow up in the sky? Unless there was a cargo flight and they fell out

If you ever met one of these people, you would understand. When I worked in a newsroom, we called anchors and field reporters "talking meat puppets".
