As an FO that is still a probie, I was curious about what the office politics were when it came to Chief Pilots. Somewhere in the FOM I remember reading that you're suppose to meet with the a chief pilot during IOE or reserve.

Is this something most guys do or is it just a waste of their time?

I've had good experiences with F.L., B.D., C.C., and what's her name. I can't imagine doing their job - getting stuck between pilots and management.

M.W. was a darned good Chief too and J.A. was a good guy to have on your side.

I did not care for D.H., but others loved him as a C.P.
