Hey guys and gals,

I got my letter of employment a week ago and I understand the April class is filled... any word on if the May class is fill or being filled? Anyone got a call for the May class?

Also, I'm following the threads about ASA being bought out (possibly but most likely). Does anyone know if this will have an affect on ASA's hiring? Anyone hearing anything?

I'm hoping that getting aboard now won't hurt me that much, but you never know. I'm open to comments, suggestions, and I'm sure some of you will say I'm crazy for trying to go to ASA but I've prayed about going to ASA and made up my mind.

Repeat after me: "I'll believe it when I see it"

You'd be wise to learn, and take to heart, that sentence. You'll need and use it regularly at ASA, and it applies to your quote above.

I appreciate the tip and thanks for answering my question(s)

There are some "doom and cloomers" here in "candler land" but for the most part people are happy just want a new contract is all.

If Skywest buys us it wouldn't surprise me in the least if a vote for a recognized union came to pass and most likely it would be ALPA and the ALG-MOH language would apply.

Welcome!

Oh yeah in a recent class (Febuary) there was a no show on day 1 and the seat was promptly filled on day 2. Be ready to go on a moments notice if you can, tell them you'll be there in 2 hours. ;-)

Cheers

That happens alot. Call Julie and let her know you want in ASAP and you can be there immediately. If she needs someone she will remember you called. You never know....
You will like ASA. The training program is top notch. It is a bit overwhelming (at least for me) but in the end it will all come together.

I have been flying since Dec and have loved every bit of it. Almost everyone I have flown with has been great...and was even helpful and patient with me being so new and still learning. I like it here.

Good luck and welcome aboard.
