United was in Ch. 11 and sacrifices had to be made. We are not, in fact we are the most profitible regional airline, and we have nothing to do with United.

What sacrifices did United "have to make"? I thought rigs are a "no cost item".

If schedules are built efficiently rigs ARE a no cost item. The only cost is training the planning department to build the schedules correctly. These are the rigs we are asking for. I don't know what type of rigs United had. Maybe you like flying 1 leg to CHA and sitting 20 hours, followed by CHA-ATL and ATL-AVL the second day only to sit another 18 hours. I flew that trip for 2 months on the ATR, and it sucks to be abused that way. Rigs are about control for the company, and about QOL for us.

Isn't it a good thing that management comes out and flies? Don't we want them to see what things are like on the front lines? I have met Scott several times and am impressed with what I see so far. In fact he can take my trips anytime he wants:pimp:

Yeah, he's so qualified that they never let him fly with a line FO. He's always with an instructor or check airman. Perpetual IOE.

John, sometimes you have to do the best with the cards you are given. If DL gives that guy next months flying on the 9 or 10th of the month, how much tweeking do you think he and his staff can do to it B4 the 11th. I agree the some lines are bad, but the majority of them are good with 14-15 days off.
I personally like it with one leg back to base and go home.

Fly Safe...
