They decided not to "go forward with it", meaning cleaning the MINOR wording issues up, because they hope that will make it fail.

The BoD doesn't want MemRat.

Management doesn't want MemRat.

MemRat is coming. The language that is "flawed" is protected by the RLA so will not be a consequence either way, and is cleanable with another minor change which can be issued by the BoD the day after it's ratified.

MemRat's time has come. It's my sincere hope that every pilot takes control of their own destiny with this airline, that it fosters greater involvement, and thereby motivates the pilots to increase solidarity in a way yet unseen here.

YMMV. You know I love ya', buddy, but I think this one is happening. Warts and all. We'll clean it up and make it shiny by Halloween. And I do NOT mean like PCL's avatar... :D

you are correct, for those of you still on the fence about memrat WE the pilots that support memrat will be happy to tweak it after it passes, MB had a chance to do it before it went out to vote but he chose not to, now he will HAVE to deal with it.

Remember MEMRAT pisses the company off that should mean something to you :)

If ALPA was voted in, what would happen to the scabs?

When Midwest voted in ALPA it was up to the membership at one meeting to vote the SCABS in or out. It was decided to let the pilots who worked at Eastern honorably(NON-SCABS) have the final say. All of the SCABS were voted in and are now card carry members of ALPA.
