Littoral warfare........and CAS! :bomb:

Magnum's as clueless at CAS as me...hey dude, the North arrow in the TGP, that actually means north for what the pod sees, not your HSI. I learned that lesson - self critiqueing.

CAS is always the answer MAGNUM!!

The ASDS insertees will have the most kick *ass CAS ever; a SSGN (USN bros.) with mucho tactical Tomahawks.

Can that thing go through dirt and rock like those found in the mountains of Afghanistan?

Probably a lot better than the homo 250 lbs SDB that the AF F-15/16/22 drivers are so hot on.

I'm guessing 10 sequential TLAM hits, at close interval, could dig a pretty good hole in surface rock formations anywhere.

But then, your example is not exactly a littoral CAS scenario.

I was talking about the ASDS that you see as worthwhile financial replacement for the C-17.

I served in the 11th SFGA after leaving active duty in the 80's. It was relatively quiet then, though we did get sent out a couple of times. I would expect that in today's environment, you could expect to be deployed within 30 days of finishing the q-course.

When you go through selection, just remember:

"Do Your Best..."

I reccomend dumping the wife/GF in favor of SF. GF and wives come and go. Do something for yourself.

Hey dip********************, I'm not sure where you're from, but let me tell you: I'm a special operator and that attitude doesn't cut it so don't pass it on as advice. If a Soldier cannot take care of their family right, there's no way in hell that they re going to be able to lead troops and take care of them. If this is your attitued, don't hesitate to keep your thoughts to yourself next time. I wouldn't want to recruit people you've talked to and had them believe your crap.

It's probably the branch with the "attitued" where they have to take their hat off to pee.

I'm a special operator.

1st...You impress me

2nd...You totally mistook what I was trying to say. How many guys do you know who have been lead down the $hitter, or have lost their dream because of trying to please some fly by night Girlfriend, or psycho wife.

I've known plenty. But the blanket "advice" you gave is not good or valid

And for the love of God, leave the F-16s at home when I'm taking fire and need help. Send me an A-10 or Puff the Magic Dragon. :D

That's what he is. Don't let the handle fool you. But I'm sure he'll be along to tell you himself...

And don't let that "Once a Marine...." nonsense fool you either. Some of us were once Marines and then moved on to bigger and better things... ;)
