I was considering working for Arik about 18 months ago. A friend of mine was working there at the time and he talked me out of it. Just expect any promise they make, even if it is written in your contract, to be broken. He usually didn't get paid on time. His contract called for business class travel to and from the US, but they would only buy coach tickets. Regulations are an inconvenience to them, as is safety. Fortunately, the pilots know better and kept it safe. Sometimes he would get armed escorts to and from the hotel and sometimes he wouldn't. He was also asked to leave the hotel on more than one occasion because Arik didn't pay the hotel bill. When he was going back for his second tour over there he told me not to pursue Arik. He ended up walking away from Arik as they violated their contract on a daily basis. His contract company, Avionco, couldn't do much about it and as I recall they severed ties with Arik as well.
