Seems to me that Skywest goes out of there way to hire hot female pilots. At least that is the way it looks from across the ramp.

I have seen some fat-a$$ed FUGLIES at United - good thing no picture allowed on the application... It is difficult to stay attractive with an airline pilot lifestyle - just look at most male (non-military types) pilots over 40 - obese and jaded...

This is a pretty dumb question. Asking "have you ever seen a hot airline pilot?" is like asking "have you ever seen a hot female truck driver?" or "have you ever seen a hot female farmer?" The answer to all of those questions is a definate negatory.

I second the fuglies over at Un-tied- **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED**! (Insert water-buffalo noises here.) The vast majority of flight attendants at Un-tied won't be on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swim Suit Edition anytime soon either if you know what I'm saying.

Far too many guys I work with seem to see that a women is a pilot first and attractive second. As a result, I see alot of male pilots walking around with females who they wouldn't even take a second look at if she wasn't a pilot. I think these guys need to get out more and realize how much better it is not talking about flying 24/7 and meeting attractive women with different lifestyles then the one we all lead.

This trend also makes the unattractive female pilots think they are all that, because they find they can got some guy way out of their league. After all these girls have probably been getting hit on by some of us since their first private pilot lesson. I tend to ignore these gals cause nothing ticks me off more then inflated egos.

On the other hand I have also met some completely attractive, easy going female pilots in my time. They tend to be dating/married to some guy outside of flying. As to why, my guess is that these girls get sick of talking about flying all the time and appreciate a guy who keeps them interested.

My wife is pretty hot

She was a hot 18 year old flight attendant when I met her. Now she's a pilot and can fly better than alot of FOs I know.

Of course that has nothing to do with her being a chick, it's because she's a professional who loves to fly, not an affirmative-action recipient.

Having to pay for you own training (as opposed to the Bank of Daddy) can help too.

J'seated on USAirways pre-911 on Metrojet with an f/o who was one of those drop dead gorgeous types. She was the kind who you pass on the street, turn around and look again as you walk into a light pole. Not only that, but she was extremely nice, also non-affirmative action, and flew the bejesus out of the airplane. Of course, there was a big rock on her hand--married to a Delta guy I think. Now there is a legitimate reason to dislike the Delta guys.

I just flew with a girl who was so level headed and fun to work with, her personality alone made her very attractive.
