A family member told me that she heard of an airline offering to pay off student loans as an incentive to obtain more new hires. Have any of you heard of this?

Yes, I too heard this from my cousin's barber.

I don't think so.

As a matter of fact, the chances of this EVER happening are absolutely ZERO... As close to total nothingness as mathematics can define!

My sisters boyfriends dads brother told me about this.

What??

I thought I would try a different approach:

Drumroll!!!

NO!

There you go.

It would be cheaper to pay more, but it hasn't happened. Don't hold your breath.
I can see it now...droves of starrry-eyed kids jumping at the opportunity to have someone else take responsibility for their financial problems.

If it were to happen, I'm sure it would be conditional. And all the starry-eyed kids who don't make it through training (or for other reasons don't get hired) will be in for a rude awakening when they have to pay off tens of thousands of dollars in debt with nothing to show for it.

All the airline can say at that point is "sorry, it was in the agreement you signed. If you'd like to pay more for additonal training we might be able to fit you in our schedule six months from now."
