The -600 rumor has been around for a LOOONG time. Here is the problem I see with the -600's:

1) No matter how sweet Boeing makes that deal, it'll be way too expensive.

2) How do you make money with the -600 with high lease payments if you're barely making money/breaking even with -200's with lease payments being WAY WAY lower than -600's?

3) You restrict their use to interisland only. You can't interchange them with -700 operation where the plane might make money.

Who knows.....
 
Please don't tell me that the new hire with 2000 TT is all inter island flying experience. Please don't tell me that all of his/her turbine time isn't in a Dash 8 flying inter island!! We need to be hiring more qualified/experienced pilots than that (for the 700 operation that is).....you know they're out there.
