I was keeping my fingers crossed that the lines would get better in April. That they would go back to the glorious days of 200+ pure 3-day lines....but it looks like its not gonna happen. Is there a legitimate reason why they can't contstruct mostly 3 day lines like they have in the past(other than the standard: mgm't hates us and wants to piss us of stuff)?

At least we are upgrading (bout 30-40/month) so I can have a chance to get some turbine PIC so I can get out of here.

Alright I'm done b!tching...life was/is just so much better on a 3day line vs. a 4day when you are used to them.....

It's called "pairing optimization". A new term for the GO clowns to throw around. Kind of like "metrics" which they think sounds smart.

Most people that have been at ASA for any amount of time know that in April the Spring Schedule change takes place. Also since DAL is using a new system, not operating certain flights on certain days along with not getting the complete flying package to our crew planners until Feb. 26, these are the reasons for your life sucking for April.

have no fear, summer flying soon will be here and life will be pretty good for about 4 months.

Then ya'll can all start bitching about how bad the lines are again.:)

CAUTION Lines are messed up....line 244 CRJ ATL is showing 92 hrs credit and its NAPS....so look carefully

I was thinking that the lines got better in April...mabye its May. Right about when Delta decides to cut our flying by some huge % and I'll be back on reserve lol.

Airboss,

When I filter the lines by block hours or credit, the nuber at the top, say 92, does not equal the sum of the pairings. I am seeing a lot of 90+ hour lines but when I mouse over the pairings they are coming in at 80-84. I have only given a cursory look but something is not right. I wonder if the planners loaded the lines incorrectly.

It seems as if they are intentionally targeting commuters. The majority of commutable lines (0800-2100) are in the 12 day off collums. Boy 16 to 17 days off really used to be nice. This place gets worse everyday.

Somebody really screwed up in loading these lines. It is going to be some pissed off people when they realize they are not going to be getting what they bid. Even looking at line 20, it shows over 90 hours credits. However the actual credits are less than guarantee. I called FLICA and they said it was crew planning fault. Look very closely at what you bid.

How about the two day with a 5 1/2 hour sit in BQK on day two?

Except almost all of 2006 there were plenty of 3 day trips, not just in the summer months (granted it did get better in the summer). I don't know what is going on, but I'm just digging these 4 day trips!

The 700 lines have 4 day trips with more than 24 hours off in MCI, GSP and others. In effect a 3 day crammed into a 4 day.

There are still plenty of 30+ hour overnights, which can't be helping the staffing issue.

The Flica server is down now as well, that always makes bidding easier.
