applying to the guard

When I'm applying to specific units what do I need to do? For example, if I wanted to apply to a bunch of the units listed on baseops ( I know they're old) how do I go about doing it? I'm enlisted right now. I know contacting them and getting you're name out there, but as far as packets go- is every unit different? Do they want there packets set up different? What exactly do I need to put in my packet and how should I put it together- any particular way? thanks

When you call them and talk to the Chief Pilot, ask him/her what specifically they'd like in the packet. Here's a thread that should help out:

thanks that helps a lot. Another thing I was wondering was about the Letters of Recomendation. I know it says 3-5 of them- what kind of people should I be getting these from? Also- do I send the same ones to all units? Should I get new L.O.R.'s everytime I apply or can I use the same ones? thanks a lot

also- what is the resume format? Is it like a pilot resume, or basic resume?
