yadda yadda yadda...

"American notified dispatchers on July 7 that their records on fuel approved for flights would be monitored, and dispatchers not abiding by company guidelines could ultimately be fired."

yadda yadda yadda...

While I'm not disputing the general crappiness of the situation, which US airline operates 747s across the Atlantic to JFK? Maybe they're talking about one of the cargo carriers? If so, why would that Captain be "consulting his airline's operations manager"?

It alllmost makes it sound like the article's referring to a foreign carrier, and that's a whole 'nother can of worms.......
