Hello,
If you go to other countries from the US a lot, I've got two questions I was wondering if you could help me with.
1. Do you know if it's possible to get wholesale exchange rates on converting your dollar? Most people say use credit cards. However, I do not know of any credit cards that do not charge a comission of under 2%. I try and avoid those airport exchange places as well-HUGE ripoffs. The best I've come up with is trying to find "mom and pop" money exchange places in the country I'm visiting. However, there must be ways to get close to wholesale exchange rates as published in the paper.
2. Do you know how you can dial a US toll-free number using a phone card from another country while you're in that country? I've tried before on my previous trips and it doesn't work for some reason. So far, I've had to call my institutions that use toll free numbers and ask for their non-toll free number.
Any help is appreciated.
