i have 1400tt and 200 multi getting desperate:(

You just barely meet the minimums of most airlines... hardly desperation time. Keep on pluggin' away. As for who's hiring, a membership to Air Inc's newsletter might prove very helpful.

Depends where you live and if you are willing to move. Have you tried Airnet? With that kind of time it's going to be tuff. Hang in there and keep plugging away at the time. Good Luck.

Quite a few of the regionals are hiring. Apply everywhere you meet the mins, even if you're not "competitive" Keep updating, it shows interest. Besides, plenty of guys who don't have a lot more than the published mins get hired. You never know. Best of luck.

Go to Airnets' website. They have a number you can call and it will tell you if they're hiring or not. It's been some time since I called it, but it used to allow you to access the chief pilot directly from it and encouraged you to do so.

Great Lakes is hiring, but you have to apply online and it cost $28. Your time is pretty good for them and I believe you are competitive. There have been numerous posts regarding them you might want to check them out.

Just a couple suggestions. I'm sure there are more out there.
Good luck!

You may want to try GLA. I know when Pomeroy was around they would hire very low time pilots however that has been some time now so I am not sure that the same mentality and hiring practices are still present there.- Flying a 19 out of DIA with no autopilot would be alot of "experience" as well as quite abit of actual IMC logged.:D

Air Now is another operator that you may want to look at. www.airnow.com - The EMB-110 SIC reqt's I think were only like 900TT with 500 PIC . (?)

Other than that I dunno but good luck to you ! !

A buddy of mine just got on with Grant Aviation in Bethel, AK. Start out in the C-207 at $3,600/month salary. They also have Caravans, a Chieftain and a King Air 200. He said some of the Caravan guys are making nearly $70,000/yr. The schedule is 20 days on and 10 off.

He also said that Cape Air in the northeast is hiring for C402 Captains. However, I've heard the pay is quite low....but you do get to build multi-engine PIC right from the start.

Good luck!

Cheers!

This is almost getting, well; I can't say it...
GLA is charging!

I had know proplem with paying NWA or CAL, but
GLA.

MR.MOSS can Kiss me where I PEE...
This company is like a roach, it won't go away.

Nothing against pilots that have come from there,
I've flown with many, and they are great . But it is
truely digusting...
You might try Ameriflight.
I flew with them for awhile, you might start out
at the bottom, but where don't you...
If I could help, I'd be happy to turn you on to the
right people.

GP,

CapeAir, IIRC, is still hiring. Lots of BOS -> HYA, PVC, MVY, and ACK stuff, all 402's. Single pilot, have to have 1500 TT + ATP (or they pay for your ATP and you stay for at least a year, at last check).

It's tough flying... I see CA 402's scud running all the time (live near the Cape), and, from what CFI's moving up have told me, the pay is abysmal.

Cheers,

-Andrew

Ya gotta love Cape Air though..."Good afternoon Cape Approach, this is CARE 235 VFR at 500 feet direct the vineyard...Oh by the way I'll need a special from the tower if ya can work that out"

So what if GLA charges $28 to apply. Air Wisconsin charges you $10 during your interview. Many places charge some small amount. If it gets you a job...$28 in these times is a very small investment indeed.

hi everybody! thanks for the replys. i did bite the bullet and pay the $28 to apply to GLA. will be sure to let everyone know if it was worth it. thanks again !!
