there lies our biggest obstacle....the board. The RLA is crap implemented in a time long, long ago when there were NO transportation options for American commerce. There are plenty of options now. If ALPA wants to really do something worthwhile, they should redirect the PAC and its huge bank account towards moving aviation OUT from under RLA but, that would require actually doing something for the millions they take each year. Won't happen, too many easier things to squable about.

As for the question that didn't get answered....I too was at the meeting and heard the answer. Just b/c he didn't give the answer YOU wanted doesn't mean he dodged the question or didn't answer!! I thought I heard an actual number but maybe it was in reference to something else....could've swore I heard 5% from initial.....or maybe I was hearing things, like the cops taking the police report from a break in of one of our pilots cars in the parking lot.
