Just curious about tracking Fossett's plane on this 'round the world flight on flightaware.com. I know we can only see it on this website over US airspace, but does anyone know the tail number? Couldn't see it on tv this morning on takeoff.

interesting...I can't get my Flight Explorer personal edition to pick up his flight...I've tried every different combination of filters that I can think of and it still won't show up.

Wow, it's at 46,000 feet! I hope he doesn't blow a gasket on his pressurization system while he's napping!

Thanks Flying Illini. I've been checking it every now and then. Pretty impressive just thinking about all the coordination that went into planning this thing--all the different overflight permits and stuff.

We passed Mr. Fosset this afternoon just south of the ABQ area. He was block 45 to 51. We were at 37 and passed under him according to ABQ center but was unable to pick him out. Center must have been talking to him on a discreet freq.

We heard he was leaking fuel. Did he continue on to the UK or stop?

As of this post at 0800 Central, looks like he's ready to coast in over Ireland! Way to go, looks like he's going to make it!

Check out his cosmic ray dosing graph. I don't know what it means but it looks scary.
